Horrible treatment by this establishment. That ain't no $1/$2 hold'em I play, but I did win a few hands and it was quite fun. It was pretty regular to see pre-flop raises of $50, and then $75 raises here and there.
If you have the balls, you can be part of $400+ pots all told every few hands. Pots are big, so don't expect to limp in and see flops with crappy hands. I found texans to play much more loosely than in New England, and most bring close to $1000 to sit with. The move people around tables, so don't get used to a specific seat at a specific table. But your membership appears to include free food/drink to some extent. Plus, it's $10/hour rake ($20 charged upfront, and balance due upon departure - or refund if you leave early) (all computerized). You have to become a member, which is $20 for a membership card. I felt very comfortable in there for about 2.5 hours. The 'regulars' were friendly and welcoming too. There are about 15 tables in there, and most were Texas Holdem $1/$2 NL. The front desk is very well run and organized.
Located in a strip mall, it's a poker room only (not a casino). Traveling here on business I wanted to play some poker and this place was excellent.
